I expected this, but not so soon.

Well, it happened. I was beaten at Tennis on the Wii by my 3 year old son. Ok, in my defense, he is almost 4. It is amazing to see how quickly they catch on and can master the controls.

Anyway, you probably gathered from the above that we got a Wii. The controller is amazing and allows for a level of interaction that I never believed was possible. It can detect the most subtle movement - such as putting topspin on the ball when you return it. Really amazing.

Riley, the SHARK hunter

Riley and I have been doing a lot of fishing lately. We actually worked a deal with some folks that have a dock on Clark Sound. I traded my ongoing computer tech support for them, and we get to use their wonderful dock. We have been catching lots of sharks and crabs.

Two Things Should Be Obvious

1. I need to loose the belly
2. Riley is very very excited to catch his first ever fish. Thanks to Moose & Julie for the great lake house experience.

NY Times Editorial

Here it is folks. The mainstream is finally catching on. The New York Times Editorial says we need to leave Iraq now.

Again, I don't want to dive too deep and let this little family blog get too political. I think everyone who knows me, knows my views on the current administration and the war in Iraq. Leave it at that.

Me as a Simpsons Character

The new Simpson movie is coming out soon...and their site lets you make your own avatar. Here is my best guess of me...

The firework bug.

Well, I remember as a kid being an absolute firework fanatic. I used to cut class (yes Mom believe that) and sneak down to Chinatown and buy fireworks. The big ones. Pinapples, M-80's or whatever they were called. I remember asking the man at the counter if he had any of 'the stuff', and we would slide a pack of bottle rockets across the counter. I would slip them into my bag and head for the door. I remember that every cop I passed just knew what was in my bag and I was going to get thrown in jail at any moment.

Anyway, flash forward 25 years and here I am in South Carolina where they are legal. Kinda takes the fun out of it. But, to the point of the post, Riley has the firework bug. Bad.
